Description

The Access to Information Act gives Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and any person or corporation present in Canada a right to access records of government institutions that are subject to the Act. This course will provide clarity on roles and responsibilities of the Office of Primary Interest (OPI) and tools on how program areas should respond to an Access to Information (ATI) Request.

Objectives

1. Ensure OPI and Subject Matter Expert (SME) are able to understand tasking retrieval emails properly and accurately respond to them
2. Provide them with the tools to Provide appropriate justification and identify where to input those justifications.
