This course provides a comprehensive overview of how Shared Services Canada prepares senior leaders for high-profile parliamentary activities, including Question Period, committee appearances and cabinet shuffles. Participants will explore the processes, timelines and collaboration required to ensure that the Minister, President and other senior SSC officials are fully equipped to fulfill these important responsibilities.

This course helps participants understand their role in this critical work and how their contributions help maintain transparency and accountability to Canadians.

• Describe the role of House of Commons and Senate committees;
• Explain how Question Period notes are developed;
• Describe the process of developing binders for Parliamentary committees appearances and Ministerial transitions;

• Describe the committee follow-up request process.
