Description

Our understanding of diversity must go beyond race, gender, and ethnicity to embrace cognitive differences. Neurodivergent individuals, such as those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, and Tourette's syndrome, bring unique strengths to our teams, but also face barriers due to a lack of awareness. Sancho Angulo, an expert in neurodiversity, will lead the session, offering valuable insights on how we can create a culture that supports and celebrates cognitive differences.

Learning Objectives

• What is neurodiversity and neurodivergence?

• Common barriers neurodivergent individuals face in the workplace

• Practical tips for supporting neurodivergent colleagues

• The intersection of neurodivergence with other identities (e.g., gender and ethnocultural backgrounds)
