Description
Working at heights is a common activity, but it can pose serious hazards. Failing to manage risks associated with working at heights can result in severe injuries or fatalities. A proactive and preventive approach will help protect workers. Whether working on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts, working safely is critical. Learn to assess and control hazards related to working at heights and implement preventative measures including fall prevention and fall protection techniques.
This course does not cover falls from the same level.
Learning Objectives
- Identify common hazards related to working at heights.
- Describe the preferred order of preventive measures.
- Use safe work practices to prevent falls.
- Understand common methods of minimizing injury should a fall occur.
- Take action to prepare for emergencies related to work at heights.

This course is recommended for employers, managers, and supervisors, including those who manage contractors. Workers and contractors who perform work at heights.
Health and safety committee members, OHS representatives will also benefit from taking this course.
