This four-module leadership development course is designed specifically for supervisors, managers, and executives at Shared Services Canada (SSC). The goal is to help every leader grow, no matter their starting point.

Each module follows a logical progression: You will start by gaining a deeper understanding of yourself as a leader, exploring essential skills needed to lead effectively and learning how build a thriving team culture while guiding your team toward achieving results, even in challenging situations. 

Through interactive sessions, self-reflection exercises and personalized tools such as the NOVA profile, you’ll gain practical insights to strengthen your leadership every day.

This course offers four engaging modules: 

Module 1: Nova Debrief: Knowing yourself better 

With the NOVA profile tool, discover your behavioural preferences, communication style and motivations. Understand yourself and others better to improve your leadership approach. 

Module 2: Leading with Self-Awareness 

Leadership starts with you. Explore who you are as a leader and what leadership means at SSC and in the public service. Discover practical strategies to enhance your self-awareness and adopt a growth mindset. 

Module 3: Fostering a Thriving Team Culture 

Gain strategies to build a team culture where everyone can thrive. Develop your ability to connect with others, lead with empathy and inclusion and better support your team’s growth. 

Module 4: Leading to Achieve Results 

Discover practical tools and concrete strategies to help your team overcome obstacles. Learn how to keep your team engaged, aligned, and focused on achieving results.
