Description
Cloud computing is the process of accessing computing services – such as storage, processing power, or software – over the Internet, without having to own or manage the physical infrastructure.
This course will equip employees with the essential language and principles needed to navigate Cloud in their day-to-day work and gain insights into SSC and GC Cloud strategies and initiatives.
Whether you work with the Cloud every day or not, understanding foundational Cloud concepts is essential in today’s digital landscape.
Learning Objectives
- Define key Cloud terminology and concepts
- Describe the public sector Cloud landscape and the critical role SSC plays
- Summarize the Application Hosting Strategy and related strategic initiatives within SSC
- Outline key roles and responsibilities in Cloud adoption and management, including technical and non-technical roles
- Explain the critical role you play as a Cloud champion across SSC and the Government of Canada (GC)
- Apply foundational Cloud knowledge to build more cross-functional relationships within SSC and the GC, enabling better internal and external client service
