Description

This instructor led course provides a step-by-step walkthrough of how assets are managed in SSC Onyx Console and Mid-Tier. Through a guided system demonstration and scenarios, participants will gain a clear understanding of how assets are viewed, created, and linked to individuals and Configuration Items (CIs).

The session will also cover managing asset inventory and contracts in Mid-Tier, interpreting the Asset Management Dashboard and locating Knowledge Base Articles (KBA) for ongoing support.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and key components of Asset Management in SSC Onyx Console and Mid-Tier;
  • Describe how to navigate the Asset Management Console and interpret the Dashboard;
  • Recognize how assets are linked to individuals and Configuration Items (CIs) and contracts;
  • Understand techniques for maintaining accurate inventory and locating Knowledge Base Article resources.

Target Audience

This course is intended for the Enterprise Desktop Service (EDS) support level 2 and level 3 teams who needs to use the end user Asset Management process in SSC Onyx to manage the end user assets such as laptops.
