Description
This course aims for the PM community's Understanding and Adoption of the Project Control Workbook (PCW) tool (formerly the black book or Cost Tracker). During the session the participants will learn about the PCW and its process, which will ensure greater control over how projects manage, track and report their project finances and improve reporting to Senior Management, Corporate Finance and Governance.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define Project Financial Forecasting Improvement (PFFI) and explain its purpose;
- Define the Project Control Workbook (PCW) and its role in project financial management;
- Explain the PCW process and its application;
- List the PCW prerequisites, input documents, and supporting tools;
- Use the PCW tool effectively to manage, track, and report project finances;
- Integrate the PCW with other financial tools for comprehensive reporting;
- Define and apply performance metrics and reporting practices to improve project oversight.

The SSC Project Management (PM) Community at large.
The SSC’s PM Community includes (but is not limited to): Project Sponsors, Directors, Project Managers, Project Team Members, Project Support Office (PSO), Project Support Staff, Project Review and Oversight (PRO) Leads and anyone involved with a project at SSC.
