Description
Understanding the Business Requirements to comply with Treasury Board and maintain SSC’S Organizational Project Management Capacity (OPMC) Class is essential for anyone involved in a project at SSC.
Participants will learn how SSC manages its projects by following the TBS Directive and Policy on Management of Investment and Program and PM&D Operating Guide; by applying the Project Governance Framework (PGoF) to all its projects; and by utilizing Governance and Project reporting as defined by the PGoF.
Objectives
By the end of the session, the participants will be able to:
- Define Governance at SSC
- Describe the how SSC executes its projects
- Recognize SSC Project Governance Frameworks (PGoF)
- Discuss the importance of Project Reporting at SSC
Target Audience
The SSC Project Management (PM) Community at large.
The SSC’s PM Community includes (but is not limited to): Project Sponsors, Directors, Project Managers, Project Team Members, Project Support Office (PSO), Project Support Staff, Project Review and Oversight (PRO) Leads and anyone involved with a project at SSC.
Prerequisite(s)
We recommend taking this course before the other courses offered by the PMCoE since they will expend from the material seen in PM-ENV.
