Description
The increase in technology has allowed cyber-threat actors to multiply the means of targeting the Canadian population, and the information to which they have access to. Recently, cyberattacks reached unprecedented heights, with phishing attacks accounting for more than a third of data breaches. This course enables SSC employees to gain knowledge on the various types of phishing attempts and other social engineering means. Participants will learn the risk associated with falling for phishing attempts, the tools to keep themselves protected and how to react if they fall victim to a phishing attack.
Objectives
Increase knowledge of various phishing attempts and the importance to protect themselves and SSC.
Acquire knowledge on tools to increase resiliency to phishing and minimize the risk of compromise.
